The Arm Skeleton by Erler-Zimmer is a true-to-life cast of a human arm skeleton and correctly reproduces the humerus, ulna, radius and the skeleton of the hand. The model clearly demonstrates the rotational movement of the forearm bones, that is pronation and supination, as well as the movements of the wrist. The hand is flexibly mounted on wire and keeps its natural articulation. Bone anatomy becomes a tangible object to handle.
The arm skeleton is used in the training of physiotherapists and occupational therapists, in nursing schools and in the medical practice. Wherever the structure and mobility of the upper limb are explained, the hand-held model replaces the flat illustration in a textbook.
- True-to-life cast of a human arm skeleton with realistic bone shape
- Pronation and supination of the forearm bones can be shown directly
- Hand flexibly mounted on wire, wrist movements remain easy to follow
- Presents the humerus, ulna and radius in their anatomical context
- Handy format that can be passed around during a lesson
- Sturdy build for repeated use in teaching
The choice of version depends on the teaching goal: with the shoulder girdle, the scapula and clavicle are shown in their position relative to the arm and the whole upper limb becomes readable. For studying the forearm and hand alone, the more compact variant is enough. The arm skeleton itself is the same in both cases.
At saneq you order the Arm Skeleton by Erler-Zimmer for practice, school and training in Switzerland.
With the shoulder girdle, the shoulder blade and collarbone are added, allowing the upper extremity to be shown continuously from the point of attachment to the trunk down to the fingers. This offers greater benefit for teaching about shoulder mechanics and the position of the bones relative to one another. The arm itself is the same true-to-life cast as in the shorter version.
