The Elbow Joint with Ligaments by Erler-Zimmer is a natural cast of the human elbow joint with humeral stump, ulna and radius. The ligamentous apparatus and the interosseous membrane are made of elastic material, so the guidance of the joint stays realistic to observe. The model lets you demonstrate flexion and extension as well as the rotational movement of the forearm bones during pronation and supination. This elbow joint model sits on a removable stand.
In physiotherapy, training and the practice, the model serves to explain the movements and ligamentous guidance of the elbow in a tangible way. It suits teaching just as much as discussing findings with patients.
- Natural cast of the elbow joint with humeral stump, ulna and radius
- Ligamentous apparatus and interosseous membrane made of elastic material
- Flexion and extension of the elbow can be demonstrated directly
- Pronation and supination of the forearm bones easy to follow
- Removable stand for viewing from any direction
- Sturdy build for daily use in teaching
The elastic ligamentous apparatus is the defining feature of this elbow joint model, because it makes the mobility tangible rather than merely showing it. Thanks to the removable stand, the joint can be set up or moved freely in the hand. It is therefore well suited to the combined explanation of flexion, extension and forearm rotation.
Your Elbow Joint Model by Erler-Zimmer can be ordered at saneq with delivery in Switzerland.
