Question 1

What is included in the massage supplies category?

Accepted Answer

The massage supplies category includes massage oils, massage lotions, rubs, massage preparations, massage rollers and practical accessories. Depending on the application, these products are used for glide, skin care, specific massage techniques or clean dispensing. In a practice, larger containers or bottles with a pump are often practical, whereas smaller sizes may be more convenient for occasional use.

Question 2

What is the difference between massage oil and massage lotion?

Accepted Answer

Massage oil is generally more slippery and remains noticeable on the skin for longer, whereas massage lotion often has a lighter texture. Which option is more suitable depends on the massage technique, the desired skin feel and the preferences of the person carrying out the treatment. Oil is frequently used for longer, gliding strokes; lotion can be more pleasant when a less oily feel is preferred.

Question 3

Which fragrance option is suitable for a practice?

Accepted Answer

For a practice, neutral or subtly scented options are often particularly versatile. As clients may react differently to fragrances, a neutral scent is a practical basic item to have on hand. Scented products such as lemon or pomegranate can be suitable for wellness applications, but should be chosen deliberately. For sensitive skin, it is always advisable to check the ingredient declaration.

Question 4

What should I look out for regarding the ingredients of massage products?

Accepted Answer

With massage products you should check the ingredients, especially in the case of sensitive skin or known intolerances. Commonly listed substances include Paraffinum Liquidum, vegetable oils, fragrances such as Limonene, Linalool or Citral, as well as further excipients. Fragrances may be relevant for sensitive individuals. When products are used with different people, neutral options and a clear declaration are particularly helpful.

Question 5

Are larger containers such as 1000 ml worthwhile for me?

Accepted Answer

Larger containers such as 1000 ml are worthwhile if massage products are used regularly or in a practice. They reduce the effort of refilling and are suitable for continuous consumption. For private or occasional use, smaller bottles, for example 250 ml or 500 ml, may be more practical. A pump makes dosing easier and supports clean dispensing during use.

Question 6

What is fascia wax used for in massage supplies?

Accepted Answer

Fascia wax is used as a special massage preparation for techniques where more grip control and less pronounced glide are desired. Unlike classic oils, the firmer or grippier texture can, depending on the product, allow a different way of working. It is important to select the preparation to suit the technique and skin tolerance and to observe the manufacturer's instructions for use.

Question 7

How should massage supplies be used hygienically?

Accepted Answer

Massage supplies should be dispensed hygienically, closed properly and stored appropriately. In a practice, pump bottles, dispensers or spatulas are practical because they reduce direct contact with the supply. Products should not be taken out with contaminated hands. After use, bottles and accessories belong in a dry, suitable place; opened products should be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
