The Oscar teaching skeleton by Erler-Zimmer is a faithful skeleton model of an adult male for teaching, training and clinical practice. Around 200 bones made of unbreakable plastic match the European standard anatomy in size and shape. Unlike models with rigid metal hinges, Oscar moves his joints freely. The articular surfaces glide over each other, so gliding movements within the joint can be demonstrated as well as rotations.
The skeleton model is aimed at schools, training programmes in physiotherapy, osteopathy and medicine, and at practices that explain anatomy on a model. A teaching skeleton also does valuable service in patient education.
- Reproduction of an adult male skeleton at average European height
- Freely movable joints without rigid metal hinges
- Limbs detach and reattach in seconds thanks to quick-release connectors
- Digitised three-part skull with all important structures, fissures and foramina
- Skullcap aligned with metal pins and held gap-free by magnets
- Robust construction for intensive long-term use
- On a roller stand, total height around 176 cm
In everyday use, the connection technology pays off. For a specific lesson topic, an arm or leg comes off in seconds, without tools and without hooks that could bend or break. The magnetic closure of the skullcap seats precisely and withstands frequent opening.
saneq delivers the Oscar teaching skeleton and further anatomical models to schools, training centres and practices throughout Switzerland.
