Isotonic by Sponser is an isotonic drink in powder form that replaces the fluids, electrolytes and energy lost during exercise in a single step. The sports drink relies on the Multi-Carb Formula, a broad spectrum of carbohydrates ranging from rapidly to sustainably available, and tastes fruity rather than overpoweringly sweet. Its good tolerability makes it a reliable thirst-quencher even during long sessions.
Isotonic is consumed before, during and after training, from cycling and running through to team sports. The isotonic drink also does good service at the gym and during physical work on hot days.
- Multi-Carb Formula with several carbohydrate sources
- Contains the five main electrolytes: sodium, calcium, magnesium, potassium and chloride
- Calcium contributes to a normal energy metabolism
- Fruity flavour, mildly formulated
- Lactose-free and gluten-free
- Easy to dose: 60 g of powder in 750 ml of water
As a rule of thumb, depending on sweat loss, 0.5 to 1 litre per hour of exertion applies, taken in small sips spread across the session. The flavours differ only in taste, not in function; those who train daily like to alternate between them so that flavour fatigue does not set in. For shorter sessions under an hour, water is often sufficient; beyond that, the sports drink comes into its own.
Athletes in Switzerland obtain Sponser Isotonic from saneq, conveniently on account if desired.
The 700 g pouch offers Sponser Isotonic peach in a mid-size amount, sitting between trying it out and a big stock. The mild peach note makes the isotonic drink pleasant for beginners too. The soft pouch reseals after opening and stores away without taking up much room.
