Sponser Pro Recovery is a protein-carbohydrate shake for ambitious endurance and strength athletes. The protein content of 44 to 50 per cent comes from seven components: whey, egg and casein in a 1:1:1 ratio, complemented by colostrum and pre-hydrolysed milk protein hydrolysates. Proteins contribute to the maintenance of muscle mass. The Swiss manufacturer deliberately avoids artificial sweeteners.

The Recovery Shake is intended for the phase directly after training or competition, when the muscles and glycogen stores need nutrients. It is aimed at athletes with a high training volume, from cycling and running to strength training.

The moderate carbohydrate content is a deliberate choice: anyone who eats after exercise anyway or uses a sports drink adds protein with Pro Recovery without upsetting their calorie balance.
