Erler-ZimmerNG and Tracheostomy Torso, life-size

The NG and tracheostomy torso by Erler-Zimmer is a life-size training model that shows the upper body as a sagittal section. The section runs through the nose, mouth, pharynx, trachea, oesophagus and stomach and makes the course of the upper airways and digestive tract visible. As a tracheostomy model it combines practising tube placement with demonstrating endotracheal suctioning.

The model is used in nursing education, in care homes and in clinical training. Nursing staff practise the insertion of feeding tubes and catheters as well as suctioning through a tracheostoma.
