The flexible spine from Erler-Zimmer is a life-size spinal column model that reproduces the entire spine in a movable form. It runs from the os occipitale through the cervical, thoracic and lumbar vertebrae to the sacrum and coccyx and includes the complete pelvis. Because the model is flexibly mounted, flexion, extension and lateral bending can be demonstrated realistically. A built-in disc prolapse at the L3 to L4 level makes the clinical picture immediately clear.
