Moxibustion, the classic heat application of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), calls for good base material: the GUOYIYAN moxa sticks are traditional moxa rolls made from dried mugwort. The smouldering moxa stick is held above acupuncture points and body zones to warm them in a targeted, controlled way.
Moxa sticks are used in TCM and acupuncture practices and, thanks to their handy format, also suit experienced users at home. The different diameters and formats cover various treatment techniques in moxa therapy.
- Traditional moxa rolls made from dried mugwort (Artemisia)
- Low blend ratios such as 3:1 to start with, high ones such as 35:1 for finely refined moxa
- Slim 1.8 cm for precise work, 2.5 cm diameter for a larger heat surface
- Classic 20 cm stick for guided treatment, short segments for stationary work
- Smoke-producing quality for traditional application
- Practical multi-pack, e.g. 10 sticks for the 20 cm version
The right choice depends on your treatment technique: sticks of around 2.5 cm in diameter give a larger heat surface for broad zones such as the back, while slimmer 1.8 cm sticks allow precise work. Short segments lend themselves to stationary work, the classic 20 cm stick to guided treatment above the point. Higher blend ratios such as 35:1 indicate more finely refined moxa; 3:1 or 10:1 is fine to start with.
Alongside the GUOYIYAN moxa sticks, saneq stocks further moxibustion and TCM supplies for practice and private use, all available to order online across Switzerland.
In this design, the short 2.7 cm sections for stationary work combine with the finest cleaning grade in the series: the 35:1 ratio stands for carefully cleaned mugwort moxa. Compared with the slim variant, the diameter of 2.5 cm additionally provides a larger heating surface over the treated zone. Each pack contains 24 smoking sections.
