Protective covers for treatment couches are indispensable aids for hygiene and comfort in medical and therapeutic practices. They serve to protect the couch surfaces from contamination while at the same time providing patients with a hygienic and comfortable surface. The range of protective covers is diverse and is guided by the specific requirements of the respective application.
Typical protective covers are made of materials such as airlaid, non-woven or soft non-woven fabric. They are available in various sizes, for example 300 x 210 mm for face rest covers or 400 x 500 mm for larger couch surfaces. Disposable covers are particularly practical for hygienic single use, while washable non-woven covers offer a sustainable alternative. Special foot covers made of vinyl or non-woven fabric also provide additional protection and comfort.
Selection criteria for protective covers
When selecting protective covers for treatment couches, several factors should be taken into account. The size must match the couch surface to ensure complete protection. The material influences both comfort and hygiene: airlaid and non-woven fabric are breathable and soft, while vinyl is particularly robust and moisture-repellent. Reusability also plays a role: disposable products are hygienic and practical, whereas washable variants are kinder to the environment.
