Version
The skull model from Erler-Zimmer is a lifelike reproduction of a human skull, in the size and proportions of an average European adult. A real skull was digitised and then idealised for medical education, so that all anatomical details and structures match the textbook. This three-part skull model consists of the skull base, calvaria and a movable lower jaw. The calvaria sits on the base without a gap thanks to magnets.
The model is used in anatomy teaching, in medical and therapeutic training and in patient education. It suits schools, practices and anyone needing a precise skull for study and demonstration.
- Lifelike reproduction of a European adult skull
- Three parts: skull base, calvaria and lower jaw
- Lower jaw movably mounted and removable
- Calvaria held by magnets, without disruptive hooks
- Metal pins align the calvaria without a gap
- Teeth with realistic position and spacing
For the version, the intended use decides: an unmarked surface stays true to life and suits pure observation, a numbered version supports structured learning of the bones with the enclosed nomenclature, and a version with muscle markings additionally shows origins and insertions for anatomy and palpation. The basic structure of the skull is the same in all cases.
The Erler-Zimmer skull model is available from saneq for teaching and practice in Switzerland.
Without labelling, the bone surface remains fully visible, making this version a calm demonstration model for teaching and patient consultations. Like its sister models, it consists of a cranial base, calvaria and a movable lower jaw, and weighs approximately 700 g. It is well suited to those who wish to name and test the structures themselves.
